La Casetta
Arischia is an ancient village near the charming old town of L'Aquila, situated in the wild and mountainous national park of Gran Sasso. Ideal for walking, exploring medieval hill villages, Roman ruins etc. 1 hour drive to Rome. Attractive old cottage with comfortable living room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, balcony, sunny patio.
The house is a cottage on 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with kitchen corner, open fire, dining table, armchairs, T.V. etc., tastefully decorated and furnished in rural style. The room faces a patio, planted with flowers, which has barbecue, table and chairs and sunloungers. The upper floor comprises bathroom, two double bedrooms (1 with adjoining annexe with additional bed). There is also a balcony with lovely views of the village, the hills and the Appenine mountains. The house faces a charming little square where you can park a car. There is a frequent bus service to L'Aquila and thence to Rome by coach.
